Finest Seafood and Kobe Beef

Our Food

The Robata offers a special omakase course that features the best of Japanese cuisine such as Shabu-shabu, Japanese barbeque, and Sushi courses using the finest ingredients.

Our Omakase is a wonderful experience course menu where you can embrace the natural ingredients to your heart's content, and fulfill your palate once you try it. What a brilliant dinning journey that you will never forget.

The restaurant offers premium seafood coming from the Japanese biggest fish market, Toyosu Market(previously known as Tsukiji Market) and “A5 Kobe beef” (Beef marbling score 12), which is the highest grade wagyu brand in the world.

What is Robata?

Robata' is short for 'robatayaki', which translates as 'fireside cooking' in Japanese cuisine. The cooking style refers to a method of cooking over hot charcoal on a wide and flat open fireplace, similar to barbecuing. Cooking on a robata grill is an art because the grill is extremely hot and the temperature cannot be controlled.

Therefore, Robata chefs are highly skilled at holding food on the grill for precisely the right amount of time and adjusting the height of the food to be cooked over charcoal to create the perfect cooking conditions.

The flavor of meat cooked on the hearth grill is typically juicy on the inside and crispy and smoky on the surface.

The Finest

Ingredients

Our commitment to highest quality of ingredients starts with the iconic “Toyosu fish market”, formally known as the Tsukiji wholesale market, which is the biggest fish market in the world providing the best of the best. With an always “freshly prepared” food motto at Robata, an in-house general trading license allows us to directly import the best fish and seafood ingredients to Dubai 3 to 4 times a week, that empowers us to always create inspirational dishes.

As for the second attraction of our exceptional fine dining experience, the “Japanese Kobe Beef”, the most exquisite beef in the world, we keep our promise of highest quality. The Japanese Wagyu beef grading which is from 1 to 5 and quality score of between 1 to 12, has proven to be the best meat in the world, at Robata we pride ourselves in the commitment to the best quality available, and always providing a very rare to find A5 grade of BMS 12 wagyu beef acquired from the best provider in Japan, making us one of the handful fine dining restaurants in Dubai to do so.

Design

Experience

Wood is an essential component of robata Japanese grills. In traditional robata grilling, the heat source is created by burning high-quality charcoal made from a specific type of Japanese oak called binchotan. Binchotan charcoal is known for its superior heat and long-burning time, which makes it ideal for grilling food over an extended period.

Binchotan was our main inspiration for the design of The Robata restaurant, as our interior is majority covered in wood. We wanted to portray the relation to authentic Japanese roots when you walked into the restaurant.

Our location is a prime location, where our outdoor seating allows you to enjoy a beach view and the gorgeous sunset every night. As well as our extended outdoor seating with the perfect view of Ain Dubai.
